The chalet is really great
Stayed at the chalet for 5 days 4 nights. The chalet is great - it’s spacious, clean and have well-maintained facilities that we need including washing machines, dryers and heater. Sophie/Jane, the host is really clear on the instructions and the house rules. She attended our questions promptly and clearly.
Location wise, it’s great if you want to explore the Jungfrau region. It’s easily accessible by car, and nearby Interlaken. We went to Bern, Blausee Naturepark, Lauterbrunnen and Lucerne from there. Most of these places are within 1 hour from the chalet. There’s a small slope in front of the house, covered in snow when we came. Our family had great time sledding there. We even rented more sleds from a nearby town. The parking is spacious and can fit 3 9-seater cars.
All in all, the chalet is really great for our family’s needs. We had great time staying there.

We absolutely loved It
We absolutely loved staying at Jane’s place. It is in such a beautiful area. The information about the chalet says the bus stop is just down the road. We didn’t mind the walk to the bus stop though. After getting to the bus we were able to go anywhere we wanted. The house is as pictured and described. It was big enough for our group of 8. We weren’t really at the chalet much. But we loved hearing the cow bells in the mornings. We would definitely stay here again. Jane and her daughter were super responsive to questions and really friendly.

Sehr schöne ruhige Lage, mit Blick auf die Berge
Der Niesen ist direkt um die Ecke, und man kann in unter 1 Stunde die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Jungfrau-Region erreichen.
Das Haus ist rustikal, aber man hat ziemlich alles, was man braucht.
Wir haben die schöne Umgebung sehr genossen.

Familientreffen
Wir waren 7 Tage in Aeschiried mit der Familie im Alter von 25 bis 85. Seit Jahren fahren wir alle 3 Jahre in die Schweiz zum Familientreffen, meist in den Wallis. Doch die Umgebung von Aeschiried hat uns restlos begeistert, da man hier so viele verschiedene Dinge unternehmen kann. Das Haus Halteweidli ist einfach umwerfend schön! Tolle Lage, sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr nette Gastgeber, die gut erreichbar sind. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Familienurlaub im Berner Oberland
Wir haben das grosse Haus in dieser einmaligen Lage sehr genossen. Da doch viele Wanderer und Fahhradfahrer direkt am Grundstück vorbeikommen, wäre eine kinder- und hundesichere Einzäunung wünschenswert.

Family Reunion after 8 years

Beautiful house with a fantastic view
The house is just as seen in the pictures. Jane / Sophie, make sure that the guests are comfortable. You will find all the required amenities there. It’s a slice of heaven. A place which can be enjoyed in all seasons. My daughter especially loved the kids room. The view! Each window was like a picture postcard. Even if you don’t step you, you can just relax here peacefully . Would definitely recommend this for a group vacation. We were all tired and cranky by the time we drove here from Zurich. But one look at the place and all exhaustion melted away. Thanks Sophie and Jane.

Amazing Panorama
The châlet couldn’t be located in a prettier place - the views are amazing! We had a party of ten (8 adults and 2 children), and everyone had enough space. The kids really enjoyed the two-level bedroom with toys and books. A few minutes away is Aeschi, which has local stores as well as Aldi, etc. The property itself has everything you might need, although it might be a good idea, depending on your needs to bring some extra towels and pillows. Communication was excellent, and I would definitely recommend this place !

I was surprised and delighted
Initially I did not know what to expect but after arriving at the house, I was surprised and delighted. The scenery is the best scenery I have ever encountered. The house was situated peacefully and privately in a farm. It is situated on a hill overlooking the swiss alps. Inside the house was cosy and comfortable for my family of 9 adults and 3 children. Hope to come back here in the future. Thank you Sophie and Jane.

We spent a week here and had a great time with our family
The house had plenty of space for the adults and kids to interact and it provided a comfortable environment for all. The house is located in the country side so the views are magnificent. Only negative comes with the accessibility to the house, if you don’t bring a car then you will have to rely on bus schedules and lots of walking. Besides that, we had a great time!

Ce furent des vacances absolument incroyables
Nous étions une grande famille de 13 adultes qui ont passé d'incroyables mini-vacances dans les Alpes suisses. Merci à Schweitz d'avoir gardé votre pays si beau et propre. Merci à Jane d'avoir publié votre belle maison avec la vue la plus incroyable. La maison est n’est pas neuve mais intégrée dans des matériaux de qualité. Nous venons du Danemark, où le point culminant est à 150 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer. Pour nous, la nature dans l'espace est passionnante et différente. Nous avons fait de longues promenades dans les montagnes chaque jour. Lorsque nous sommes rentrés chez nous dans la maison, nous nous sommes réunis pour la grande table dans la salle à manger et avons dîné. Ce furent des vacances absolument incroyables et nous espérons avoir l'occasion de visiter à nouveau la maison. Merci.

We had such a memorable stay at Jane's place
The chalet is clean, beautiful, and spacious, with wonderful views from every room. It is very well-equipped, and we were able to find everything we needed for a comfy and cozy stay. Its location is isolated from the main road, with lovely walking trails running by the house. There was a lot of snow when we were there, and the dogs had a terrific time. Jane is a very responsive and thoughtful host, and the welcome pack contained a lot of great information about the area. It's a terrific place combining space, silence, and spectacular mountain views, and we would have loved to stay longer! Thank you so much for having us, Jane!

Amazing location
We had a lovely vacation at Halteweidli. The chalet is located in a beautiful spot in Aeschiried. It’s quiet, right on hiking paths and has incredible views. The chalet itself has plenty of space- we had 15 people sleeping in the chalet at one point and all felt very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and overall the house was perfect for our needs. The owners were responsive and helpful. We look forward to another stay!

Idyllischer Ort mitten in der Natur
Wir genossen unsere Familienferien mitten in der Natur. Das gut eingerichtete Haus ermöglichte einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Das Haus ist eingebettet in eine wunderbare Landschaft. Mit einem Zaun zur Sicherheit hätten sich die Kinder mit den Eltern unbeschwerter bewegen können. Aber auch so gab es viele Möglichkeiten die nähere und weitere Umgebung zu geniessen.

Second visit and lovely family holiday
We were with two families (4 adults and 9 children) for the second time in the Halteweidli and had a great time. The house was ideal for us. The children could occupy themselves around the house and in the house and we didn't have the impression that it was too cramped.
The remote location allows you to live out the holiday rhythm. Very nice and pleasant accommodation. The landlords were also very accommodating. Thanks.

The house has everything a family need
We stayed at the Halteweidli with several young families.
We liked it very much, the location is beautiful, the region is well known and highly valued by connoisseurs.
The house is not luxurious, but is very solidly and comfortably furnished and has everything that a family needs on vacation.
The descriptions on the website are completely correct, we found everything as described on the internet.
We would like to mention the contact with the landlords as particularly pleasant and positive, to whom one could always contact with questions and problems and received prompt answers and pragmatic solutions to everything. We really appreciated that and it made things a lot easier for us. The billing was also very fair and in favor of the guests.
We intend to spend another holiday at the Halteweidli in the future.

Wir waren schon zum zweiten Mal im Halteweidli - dieses Mal auch mit Schnee! Wir haben die gemütliche Atmosphäre, die einzigartige Aussicht und die super Lage sehr genossen. Das dritte Bad, das mittlerweile eingebaut wurde, war perfekt für unsere große Gruppe. Die Gastgeberin ist hilfsbereit und die Kommunikation mit ihr lief einwandfrei. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal!

Perfektes Chalet
Das Chalet Halteweidli hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage ist super: Beim Chalet fühlt man sich fast schon einsam mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht auf das Kandertal und trotzdem ist man in wenigen Minuten in Spiez (daher auch mit Zug und Bus gut erreichbar). Hätte es mehr Schnee gehabt hätte man auch praktisch direkt vor dem Haus Schlitteln, Langlaufen, Schneeschnuhwandern oder sogar Ski- oder Snowboardfahren können. Das Wandern und spazieren war zwar nicht geplant aber auch sehr schön. Das Chalet ist zudem top ausgestattet und bietet viel Platz. Wir würden es sofort wieder mieten.

The perfect place to relax and live in nature
We booked the chalet for a short time over the Christmas holidays. Too short, because the days passed too quickly there! The view and the chalet are great and if you want somewhere to relax and live in nature this is the perfect place. The owners are very nice and helpful and I really hope to return soon with my family

We are a family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teenagers and an 8-year-old) and had a lovely stay in Halteweidli. The chalet was clean, well-equipped, spacious, and nicely furnished. I particularly liked the parquet wooden floors and large windows. The mountain and valley views from the chalet were spectacular and there were some great walks from the front door. We spotted plenty of wildlife in the garden and surrounding meadows - deer, foxes, eagles and something that looked a lot like a weasel. While the chalet is secluded and peaceful, two nearby villages with restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Halteweidli was also a good base for trips to the best of the Bernese Oberland - including the two large lakes either side of Interlaken (Thunnersee and Briensee), Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald and the nearby high mountain peaks (Eiger, Jungfrau, First and Monch). All in all, it was the perfect escape.

We had a wonderful experience and I cannot find anything that I did not like
This chalet is located in a wonderful context. It is surrounded by fields and forest. You can hear the sound of a stream which passes in the valley under the house. There is a wonderful view on the valley which leads to Adelboden (great skiing resort only 37 minutes away!) and on the Thun Lake on the other side. 20 minutes from Interlaken. Amazing! There are many walking paths passing right next to the chalet. Perfect for mountain bikes, hiking and simply beautiful walks. The chalet has beautiful terraces on which you can relax or have your lunch. The interiors are comfortable and perfect to host a large group of people. The lounge has beautiful windows and a fireplace which makes the room very cosy. There are three bathrooms (!). We had a wonderful experience and I cannot find anything that I did not like.

Amazing place
A fantastic and spacious property that is right on winter walkways and cross country ski/mountain bike trails. The views are gorgeous of the mountains around. The house has everything we needed including a lovely fire in the evening. It was snowy when we were there and the world was totally white all around. It’s in the country but only a few minutes drive to nearest shop. The owner is incredibly nice and everyone who skied by envied the property. It was an unforgettable week! Could easily host 10 people for a perfect retreat. I couldn’t recommend more.

Quiet Retreat – Everything You Need
The chalet was exactly as described in the listing. A great retreat for a quiet week away with the dog, yet close enough to many sites (15-30 minutes drive). Access to hiking from the front door was a huge bonus. The kitchen was better equipped than any rental I've ever had! Only 1 suggestion, towels are provided, but if you like to use more than one or like a big bath towel, you should bring a few extras from home. The owners were very friendly and helpful with tips for the area and quick to reply to any questions. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet retreat, who loves hiking and great views and a cozy fire at night.

Grandioser Ausblick und ein wunderschönes Fleckchen
Der Check-in so wie die Kommunikation mit unseren Gastgebern hat reibungslos funktioniert. Jane ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist ein schönes Chalet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man zum Leben und für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht. Gerade die Küche ist super gemütlich und exzellent ausgestattet. Das Wohnzimmer sowie die drei Zimmer, die zur Rückseite des Hauses liegen aber auch die Zimmer die nach vorne zeigen, haben eine grandiose, unverbaute Aussicht mit viel Natur und Bergen. Vom Haus zweigen sehr viele Wanderwege ab, die alle sehr schön und nicht überlaufen sind. Fleisch, Alpenkäse und Milch kann man direkt von Bauern kaufen - alles in Bioqualität und teilweise einfach per Selbstbedienung. Kurzum: Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen . Gerne wieder.

Tolles Chalet mit einzigartigem Ausblick
Das Chalet liegt außergewöhnlich schön und in Alleinlage. Es bietet einen einzigartigen Ausblick auf die Berge. Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend. Es gab genügend Platz für unsere große Gruppe und alle haben sich rundum wohlgefühlt. Sophie hat auf alle Anfragen schnell und immer sehr freundlich reagiert. Highly recommended for an active holiday.

Great location for excursions to any part of Switzerland
We had and excellent time at the Chalet. It is sometimes difficult to know 100% from pictures and descriptions but the chalet lived up to all our expectations. Clean, great views of mountains and meadows on all sides. Convenient location to do excursions to almost anywhere in Switzerland. Can't wait to do a repeat visit. Didn't want to leave!

Awesome Location
We enjoyed our stay at the property with a family of 15 persons. It is located at awesome hill and has excellent surroundings of grass fields and natural landscape. Only the problem is its connectivity with Local bus and timing of local transport as the last bus from the nearest train station, Spiez is at 7;30 pm and you have to catch it anyhow as no other transportation is available. But the property is great value for money and it has all the amenities and utensils for a big family. We enjoyed a lot there.

Wunderbares Chalet, wunderbarer Blick, wunderbares Wetter.....
Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche im Halteweidli, das Haus bietet alles was man braucht. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, der Wohnbereich phantastisch, vor allem die komfortablen Sitzgruppen mit dem wunderbaren Blick auf die Berge. Ein besonderes Erlebnis für uns war, einen Fuchs bei der „Jagd“ zu beobachten........! Wir können das Chalet bestens weiterempfehlen und planen auch im nächsten Jahr wieder unseren Winterurlaub dort zu verbringen.

Highly Recommend & hope to return one day!!
Chalet was surrounded by snow, and had the most amazing view of the Alps. Sledges were provided which made our nephew really happy! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, including raclette grills, and fondue dishes. Free Netflix by the fireplace made our nights super cosy!

Everything seemed as described
... a house with 6 bedrooms, big dining and living area and a well equipped kitchen. BUT this place with these views has something magical. Beautiful! Even 10 people had enough space for themselves. The drive in the snow with winter tires was not a problem even over the cross country slopes. It's all there..... the mountains, the slopes, the trails, the farm with their own cheese, a little village with stores and indoor pool/sauna. We all would love to come back another day!
