Great house for a week of hiking
Great house in a good location for a weekend or a week of hiking. Detached house with superb 360-degree views. The house is as described, 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (very useful when there are 14 of you!). Well-equipped house (kitchen, washing machine, dryer, grill, etc.), beautiful living room! Beautiful living space, loved by our large group
We were a large group loved the place and the area. Jane was friendly and responsive. Parking can easily hold 4 cars. Nice hiking with view of Lake Thun can start from the place. The house is beautiful, living space was the highlight. Kitchen, bathrooms and upper floor can benefit from a renovation.

Truly genuine hospitality, unforgettable memories
Jane was absolutely wonderful throughout our stay and was responsive to our needs. She even left treats for my kids and drove hours all the way here to fix what we needed during our stay. She was truly genuine and my family are grateful to her, we hope you love the flowers we got you! Perfect tranquility with spectacular snowy landscapes
The place is perfect if you are looking for tranquility, since it is quite far from the village and other houses, which is why the landscapes from the house are spectacular, and even more so if it is all snowy! Ideal for a large group of friends or family. The only thing to note is that the last 500 meters are not paved, so if it is snowy, the arrival can be a bit complicated due to the ice sheets and the poor lighting at night.

Felt like a real family home
This house felt like a family home. You could feel the years of laughter and memories that took place in it over the years. We felt right at home when we arrived. It had plenty of space for two families totaling 10 people and had everything we needed except for coffee filters, which took us three different locations to find. We did leave the box there for the next few guests. Jane and Sophie were very helpful. There was a little delay in responses in the weeks leading up to the trip but while we were there they responded right away. We got almost 10 inches of snow one night and their quick response to dispatch the snow plow was much appreciated. There is so much to do close by. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again.

A true getaway place for large groups
We have enjoyed our stay at the house. It is a true get away place. The house is fully equipped, whatever we thought of, we found it. It is a rare find, to host 16 guests. The host as well is decent and helpful. Our remarks are: garbage separation seems to be very complicated and has a lot of constraints; it might be better to facilitate this process by adding a basket with multiple bins. It would be optimal to have a larger fridge to host 16 people. The response average from the host is about half a day. House was clean obviously but some yellow stains on duvet covers caused some doubts about the hygiene level.

Perfect for a three-generation family reunion
Chalet Halteweidli is a charming house and it was perfect for our family reunion: three generations, including 6 kids and a dog, felt immediately at home here! The house is surrounded by fields, no traffic, just hikers passing by, and the views are amazing. We were busy exploring the region but always looking forward to coming back up to Aeschi in the evening. Thank you!

Enchanting nature and a wonderful stay for ten
We enjoyed our stay as we were ten people. The place is wonderful, surrounded by farms that allow us to wander around and see animals such as llamas, deer, and others. The nature here is enchanting, surrounded by trees and breathtaking views that give a sense of calm and tranquility. We had a great time exploring the area, enjoying the fresh air and the sounds of nature. Short trips and walks in the farms were a special experience. I will definitely return - the atmosphere here is relaxing and full of life.

A memorable, cozy week for a family of 12
With our family of 12, among whom two small children, we enjoyed a lovely week in Jane's chalet. The chalet is big enough for a big family yet very cozy at the same time. The place was clean, tidy and very well-heated. Everybody slept well, including the children who appreciated the dedicated kids' room. Less practical was how the bathrooms are situated, and the kitchen was somewhat tiny for garbage management. As described by other guests, the surroundings are breathtaking - it felt like a gift every morning to be looking at postcard views while drinking my morning coffee. All in all it was a very memorable family week!

Great facilities and a perfect base for exploring the Jungfrau region
Stayed at the chalet for 5 days 4 nights. The chalet is great - spacious, clean and well-maintained, with everything we needed including washing machines, dryers and a heater. Sophie/Jane, the host, was really clear on the instructions and house rules and answered our questions promptly. It's easily accessible by car and close to Interlaken - we visited Bern, Blausee Naturepark, Lauterbrunnen and Lucerne, all within about an hour. There's a small slope in front of the house that was covered in snow when we came, and our family had a great time sledding there. Parking is spacious, fitting 3 nine-seater cars. All in all, the chalet is really great for our family's needs.

We absolutely loved it
We absolutely loved staying at Jane's place. It is in such a beautiful area. The information says the bus stop is just down the road, and there is a bus stop - though "just down the road" is a little bit casual! We didn't mind the walk though, and from the bus we could go anywhere we wanted. The house is as pictured and described, big enough for our group of 8. We weren't at the chalet much, but we loved hearing the cow bells in the mornings. Jane and her daughter were super responsive and really friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

A tranquil setting with mountain views
Sehr schöne ruhige Lage, mit Blick auf die Berge. Der Niesen ist direkt um die Ecke, und man kann in unter 1 Stunde die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Jungfrau-Region erreichen. Das Haus ist rustikal, aber man hat ziemlich alles, was man braucht. Wir haben die schöne Umgebung sehr genossen.

A family reunion that left us restlos begeistert
Wir waren 7 Tage in Aeschiried mit der Familie im Alter von 25 bis 85. Seit Jahren fahren wir alle 3 Jahre in die Schweiz zum Familientreffen, meist ins Wallis. Doch die Umgebung von Aeschiried hat uns restlos begeistert, da man hier so viele verschiedene Dinge unternehmen kann. Das Haus Halteweidli ist einfach umwerfend schön! Tolle Lage, sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr nette Gastgeber, die gut erreichbar sind. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

A slice of heaven with a postcard view from every window
The house is just as seen in the pictures. Jane / Sophie make sure that the guests are comfortable, and you will find all the required amenities there. It's a slice of heaven, a place which can be enjoyed in all seasons. My daughter especially loved the kids' room. Each window was like a picture postcard - even without stepping outside, you can just relax here peacefully. We were all tired and cranky by the time we drove here from Zurich, but one look at the place and all exhaustion melted away. Would definitely recommend this for a group vacation. Amazing panoramas and plenty of space for ten
The chalet couldn't be located in a prettier place - the views are amazing! We had a party of ten (8 adults and 2 children), and everyone had enough space. The kids really enjoyed the two-level bedroom with toys and books. A few minutes away is Aeschi, with local stores as well as Aldi. The property has everything you might need, though it's a good idea to bring some extra towels and pillows. Communication was excellent, and I would definitely recommend this place!

The best scenery I have ever encountered
Initially I did not know what to expect, but after arriving at the house I was surprised and delighted. The scenery is the best I have ever encountered. The house was situated peacefully and privately on a farm, on a hill overlooking the Swiss Alps. Inside it was cosy and comfortable for my family of 9 adults and 3 children. A great week with the family in the countryside
The house had plenty of space for the adults and kids to interact and provided a comfortable environment for all. The house is in the countryside, so the views are magnificent. The only downside is accessibility - without a car you'll rely on bus schedules and lots of walking. Besides that, we had a great time!

Absolutely incredible mini-vacation in the Swiss Alps
Nous étions une grande famille de 13 adultes qui ont passé d'incroyables mini-vacances dans les Alpes suisses. Merci à Jane d'avoir publié votre belle maison avec la vue la plus incroyable. La maison n'est pas neuve mais intégrée dans des matériaux de qualité. Nous venons du Danemark, où le point culminant est à 150 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer, donc la nature ici est passionnante et différente pour nous. Nous avons fait de longues promenades dans les montagnes chaque jour. Ce furent des vacances absolument incroyables et nous espérons avoir l'occasion de visiter à nouveau la maison. Merci.

A memorable stay combining space, silence and spectacular views
The chalet is clean, beautiful, and spacious, with wonderful views from every room. It is very well-equipped, and we were able to find everything we needed for a comfy and cozy stay. Its location is isolated from the main road, with lovely walking trails running by the house. There was a lot of snow when we were there, and the dogs had a terrific time. Jane is a very responsive and thoughtful host, and the welcome pack contained a lot of great information about the area. We would have loved to stay longer! Thank you so much for having us, Jane!

Room for fifteen and still felt comfortable
We had a lovely vacation at Halteweidli. The chalet is located in a beautiful spot in Aeschiried. It's quiet, right on hiking paths, and has incredible views. The chalet itself has plenty of space - we had 15 people sleeping in the chalet at one point and all felt very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and overall the house was perfect for our needs. The owners were responsive and helpful. We look forward to another stay!

Wir genossen unsere Familienferien mitten in der Natur. Das gut eingerichtete Haus ermöglichte einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Das Haus ist eingebettet in eine wunderbare Landschaft. A second visit, and just as lovely
We were two families (4 adults and 9 children) for the second time at Halteweidli and had a great time. The house was ideal for us - the children could occupy themselves around the house without it ever feeling cramped. The remote location lets you live out the holiday rhythm at your own pace, and the landlords were very accommodating. Thanks.

Everything a family needs on vacation
We stayed at Halteweidli with several young families. We liked it very much - the location is beautiful and the region is well known and highly valued by connoisseurs. The house is not luxurious, but is very solidly and comfortably furnished and has everything a family needs on vacation. The descriptions were completely accurate. Contact with the landlords was particularly pleasant and positive - questions and problems were always met with prompt, pragmatic solutions, and billing was very fair. We intend to spend another holiday at Halteweidli in the future.

The perfect chalet
Das Chalet Halteweidli hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage ist super: Beim Chalet fühlt man sich fast schon einsam mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht auf das Kandertal, und trotzdem ist man in wenigen Minuten in Spiez, gut erreichbar mit Zug und Bus. Das Chalet ist zudem top ausgestattet und bietet viel Platz. Wir würden es sofort wieder mieten.

The perfect place to relax and live in nature
We booked the chalet for a short time over the Christmas holidays. Too short, because the days passed too quickly there! The view and the chalet are great, and if you want somewhere to relax and live in nature this is the perfect place. Spotting wildlife and spectacular views from the front door
We are a family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teenagers and an 8-year-old) and had a lovely stay in Halteweidli. The chalet was clean, well-equipped, spacious, and nicely furnished. I particularly liked the parquet wooden floors and large windows. The mountain and valley views were spectacular and there were some great walks from the front door. We spotted plenty of wildlife in the garden and surrounding meadows - deer, foxes, eagles and something that looked a lot like a weasel. While the chalet is secluded and peaceful, two nearby villages with restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Halteweidli was also a good base for trips to the best of the Bernese Oberland. All in all, it was the perfect escape.

Nothing we didn't like about this wonderful experience
This chalet is located in a wonderful context, surrounded by fields and forest. You can hear the sound of a stream passing in the valley below the house, with a wonderful view towards Adelboden (a great ski resort only 37 minutes away!) and Lake Thun on the other side - just 20 minutes from Interlaken. There are many walking paths passing right next to the chalet, perfect for mountain bikes, hiking and beautiful walks. The chalet has beautiful terraces to relax on, comfortable interiors perfect for a large group, and a lounge with beautiful windows and a fireplace that makes the room very cosy. There are three bathrooms! We had a wonderful experience and I cannot find anything that I did not like.

Right on the winter trails, an unforgettable week
A fantastic and spacious property that is right on winter walkways and cross-country ski/mountain bike trails. The views are gorgeous. The house has everything we needed, including a lovely fire in the evening. It was snowy when we were there and the world was totally white all around, just a few minutes' drive to the nearest shop. The owner is incredibly nice, and everyone who skied by envied the property. It was an unforgettable week! Could easily host 10 people for a perfect retreat. I couldn't recommend more.

A quiet retreat with everything you need
The chalet was exactly as described in the listing. A great retreat for a quiet week away with the dog, yet close enough to many sites (15-30 minutes' drive). Access to hiking from the front door was a huge bonus. The kitchen was better equipped than any rental I've ever had! Only one suggestion - bring a few extra big bath towels from home if you like more than one. The owners were very friendly and helpful with tips for the area and quick to reply to any questions. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet retreat, who loves hiking and great views and a cozy fire at night.

Top location, wonderful peace, sensational views
Top Lage, sehr nette Vermieter, herrliche Ruhe, sensationeller Ausblick mit sehr geräumigem Wohnzimmer inkl. Kamin. Küche nicht neu, aber sehr gut ausgestattet. Wanderwege direkt am Haus startend. Kommen gerne wieder (4 Erw., 4 Kinder 3-8 J.).

A magnificent holiday among friends
Une grande et belle maison idéale pour une retraite entre amis. Au calme, car bien isolée, tout en restant proche des principaux centres d'intérêt de la région. Belle immersion dans une nature verdoyante et vivante. Les passionnés de marche y trouveront leur bonheur, car un grand nombre de sentiers de randonnée y sont proches.

A wonderful week in springtime
Das Haus liegt mitten in der Natur, weit weg von anderen Häusern. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet, besonders schön waren die guten Möbel auf den Terrassen, und das gute Internet war wichtig für unsere Jungs.

A grand view and a truly beautiful spot
Der Check-in sowie die Kommunikation mit unseren Gastgebern hat reibungslos funktioniert. Jane ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist ein schönes Chalet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man zum Leben und für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht. Gerade die Küche ist super gemütlich und exzellent ausgestattet. Das Wohnzimmer sowie die Zimmer haben eine grandiose, unverbaute Aussicht mit viel Natur und Bergen. Vom Haus zweigen sehr viele Wanderwege ab, die alle sehr schön und nicht überlaufen sind. Fleisch, Alpenkäse und Milch kann man direkt von Bauern kaufen - alles in Bioqualität. Kurzum: wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Gerne wieder.

A wonderful chalet with a one-of-a-kind view
Das Chalet liegt außergewöhnlich schön und in Alleinlage. Es bietet einen einzigartigen Ausblick auf die Berge. Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend. Es gab genügend Platz für unsere große Gruppe und alle haben sich rundum wohlgefühlt. Sophie hat auf alle Anfragen schnell und immer sehr freundlich reagiert. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit, die wir hier verbringen durften!

So cozy we never went out to eat
Lots of space inside and outside to be, a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need, cozy fireplace, bathtub, peace, sun... It was so nice that we never went out to eat because home was guaranteed to be cozier.

Highly recommended for an active holiday
Great location with stunning views. The property has all you need for a short or longer summer break. We had 2 weeks and still had plenty of unexplored places we could have visited. Good communication with the owner, who provided exceptionally detailed instructions and advice.

A quiet, deeply personal holiday destination
Idyllisch gelegen mit täglicher "Fuchs-Show" / Besuch, viel Platz zum Spielen und Draussen-sein, vieles vorhanden wie Holz zum Füürle, Bücher, Spielsachen, Spielzimmer, und viel wertvolle Hilfsbereitschaft vom Tourist Office in Aeschi und von Sophie vom Halteweidli, um den Gästen allerschönste Ferientage zu gewähren. Höchst liebenswerte Voralpen-Region, gute Ausgangslage zu Ausflügen. Viel Gastfreundschaft angetroffen - keine Abzocke, sondern Herzlichkeit und Good Will rundum.

A convenient base for excursions across Switzerland
We had an excellent time at the chalet. It is sometimes difficult to know 100% from pictures and descriptions, but the chalet lived up to all our expectations. Clean, with great views of mountains and meadows on all sides. Convenient location to do excursions to almost anywhere in Switzerland. Can't wait to do a repeat visit - didn't want to leave!

An awesome location for a family of fifteen
We enjoyed our stay at the property with a family of 15 persons. It is located on an awesome hill with excellent surroundings of grass fields and natural landscape. The only issue is connectivity by local bus - the last bus from the nearest train station, Spiez, is at 7:30pm. But the property is great value for money, with all the amenities and utensils for a big family. We enjoyed it a lot.

A wonderful chalet, a wonderful view, wonderful weather
Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche im Halteweidli, das Haus bietet alles, was man braucht. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, der Wohnbereich phantastisch, vor allem die komfortablen Sitzgruppen mit dem wunderbaren Blick auf die Berge. Ein besonderes Erlebnis für uns war, einen Fuchs bei der "Jagd" zu beobachten! Wir können das Chalet bestens weiterempfehlen und planen auch im nächsten Jahr wieder unseren Winterurlaub dort zu verbringen.

Sledges in the snow and the most amazing Alpine view
Chalet was surrounded by snow, and had the most amazing view of the Alps. Sledges were provided which made our nephew really happy! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, including raclette grills and fondue dishes. Free Netflix by the fireplace made our nights super cosy!

A house with 6 bedrooms and something magical about the views
Everything seemed as described - a house with 6 bedrooms, big dining and living area and a well-equipped kitchen. But this place with these views has something magical. Beautiful! Even 10 people had enough space for themselves. The drive in the snow with winter tires was not a problem, even over the cross-country slopes. It's all there - the mountains, the slopes, the trails, the farm with their own cheese, a little village with stores and indoor pool/sauna. We would all love to come back another day!
